You & I

Speak.

What is there to say? Words rip apart the unity of silent presence into voice and audience: into You and I.

So long as you take yourself to be this continuum of thoughts, speaking your heart is how you give yourself back to silence. Do not be ashamed, let yourself be received into grace, as you are. Speak.

“You and I” crucifies my heart. I’m in emotional pain. To you all actions and situations are empty, but to me they are still full of meaning and I am suffering.

Our Hearts are linked by an indestructible thread. It’s substance is divine love for only that is eternal. Yes, in the world there is no outer display of it – the play of You and I has ended. That show is over. Move on.

Lingering in dead things – my mind nests in the corpses of my past and eats the rot. I feel powerless to break this pattern. I can’t find power, only willingness. I am willing to move on.

This is Self-identity with the wounded-I: the Pain-body. Just be present, make that your only desire and only goal. If the pain body arises notice it fully. Do not seek it out or follow it as it goes. Just be present. With silent determination to be present, again, and again, and again, all conditioned characteristics will slowly fall away as you assume the purity of pure present awareness as the real body of your true self.

Just be present, and “you and I” will become irrelevant flotsam in the stream of pure presence.
